Author
Joanne C. Preston, M.Phil., M.S.Ed., L.P.C., is the author of the children’s book series, “Sky and Ria”. Joanne is a Licensed Therapist and an Exceptional Educational Teacher, who has seen the damaging effects that negative self-concept and poor self-esteem have on both children and adults of all ethnicity. As a therapist and an educator, Joanne has strived to help build self-esteem, self-control, awareness, teach social interaction, and much more. Joanne received her Bachelor of Science, Developmental Sociology, at Cornell University. She received her Master of Science in Education, Psychological Services, at University of Pennsylvania. Joanne then continued her education to receive her second and third master degrees in, Master of Philosophy, Professional Counseling and Psychology, as well as Master in Education and Elementary School Counseling at University of Pennsylvania. The inspiration behind “Sky and Ria” book series, is her darling daughter who is adaptable, adventurous and willing to undertake new challenges every day.
